Reimaginging the Black Church series

Reimagining the Black Church series emerged from the Reimagining the Black Church: The Past Promise and Prophetic Potential of Black Theology conference held during the 2025 Black Theology and Leadership Institute at Princeton Theological Seminary.

Each figure began as a quick sketch created while speakers presented their research, sermons, and specialized reflections on what it means to reimagine the Black church. Created in the Notes app on my iPhone, these drawings speak to ideas of accessibility, immediacy, and what it means to access the spiritual through the everyday tools already at our disposal.
