Collection
These collections exist at the intersection of art, philosophy, spirituality, and lived experience. Through quilts, papercuts, wire sculpture, installation, performance art, digital illustration, and mixed media processes, I explore themes of what it means to take up space, memory, family, hope, and the spiritual through my framework of Black Artistic Thought.
Light, sunrays, circles, and the figure often appear throughout my work as visual languages that speak to transformation, healing, and connection. Whether working with fabric, paper, wire, or digital tools, I use materials as a way to express emotion, testimony, and different dimensions of the Black lived experience.
My practice seeks to create spaces where Black women can be witnessed fully while showing up as themselves spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually. In this sense, this work shows one of the many ways that we honor the transformative power of art within community.
